someone i love is having a birthday!

another year has passed. they seem to be flying by at record speed! in honor

of our dad, i thought i would post some pictures of dad being dad over the years.

as i was looking through the photo albums, these few pictures brought back a memory and a smile.

the year was 1981. natalie was 14 months and in need of a little extra love :) the wagon ride seems to have stopped while dad tended to little puddie. johnny, age 3, and the neighbor kids wait patiently. the wagon looks weak. i am having a hard time believing 4 kids were riding in it. it's not like bradoc's new radio flyer!

this is dad on his 32nd birthday. he is young & handsome & tan. that is little lu sitting on his lap. she is not quite 15 months.

dad was always busy doing home repairs. this house on kingswalk in houston was always in need of work. the girls always thought when he got on the floor that that was an open invitation to climb aboard! dad loved it. *lu is not quite 3 & natalie is 5.

i l*o*v*e this pix of bobby & dad. i love the look of love between them. bobby is 9 months old.

here we are at a family vacation in new mexico in june of 1986.

dad seemed to always receive chocolate covered cherries for christmas. we always thought he loved them. it wasn't until many years later that he admitted he really didn't care for them!

this pix of dad and bobby was taken last christmas in sanibel. it is one of my favorites. dad has always been "the dad". but as time has passed, he is now a friend as well.
