dad & i made another attempt at shark valley. brave, i know. our last experience at shark valley was less than pleasurable. in fact, it has gone down in legend as "the day from hell".

this time around, it was so much better. we took our bikes & did the 15 mile riding trail. so much better than hoofin' it ! also, air temperature was a mild 72 degrees. it was beautiful !!!

one of our first delights was seeing this butterfly collecting nectar from this russian thistle.

there were an over abundance of great blue herons. we saw more at this locale than anywhere else in the state of florida.

we caught these two turtles basking in the afternoon sun.

cute, cute baby !

here are 3 babies in the water. the mother was close by.

this was an interesting sight. this was one VERY large gator with grass and leaves piled on his back.

the water looks scenic & inviting. but beware. it was loaded with more gators than we could count.

a view of the everglades.

best picture ever ! this gator was sunning himself by the side of the road as we rode by on our bikes. his mouth was wide open. it remained open while we tried to capture this image with the camera.
what did you see today in nature ?

I LOVE those turtles!! They are so funny to me. Teaguey loved looking at the pictures with me. Today my nature consisted of trying to tame my very own wild beasts that reside in my home! Those pictures were all so pretty. The Everglades are so cool. xo
that gator is HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE! scary. i want to go to shark valley. i want to go some where. anywhere. today my nature consisted of overly confident egotistical attorney's thinking they are they ish. {gag me}
Beautiful pictures. I need to take a trip to Florida.
Awesome! Turns out Shark Valley does have more to offer than hungry stomachs, heat exhaustion and bad moods! Haha Great Pictures Mom!
