My Natalie

Natalie celebrated her 29th birthday yesterday. I just can't believe how this girl of mine got to 29 already! Let's go back in time from the past to the present and see some of her life's milestones.

In the wee hours of Sunday morning, October 19, 1980 in Mesa, Arizona, Natalie arrived.

Dad was working on his PhD at Arizona State University, which left lots of time for Natalie & I to play outside in the warm Arizona sun. June 1981, age 8 months

As a toddler, Natalie was full of life & mischief. Here she got in the Desitin, when she was supposed to be taking a nap.

Natalie loved her dollies and animal friends & would line them all up to sleep with her.
May 1983, Houston, Tx. age 2 1/2

Johnny was her very best friend. They did everything together.
July 1984. Natalie 3 1/2 & Johnny 6.

Natalie was very sweet and curious about things. Here she is with "Bert" the turtle.
June 1985, age 4.

Natalie was almost 6 by the time she started Kindergarten.
Houston, Tx.

Natalie spent a good portion of her childhood living in Alaska. There was always snow to shovel & fun to have!
Feb. 1993, age 12.

Alaska was a great place for our family. We have lots of good memories there.

Natalie started high school in Anchorage. She ran cross country.
The rest of her high school experience took place in Chicago.

She had the opportunity to work for Senator Bennett on Capitol Hill. She loved her time in Washington D.C.

Natalie married her soul mate in 2001.

The following year she graduated with a degree in Political Science from Utah State University.

Stephanie is her best friend. That's what sisters are for :)
They became friends when they quit sharing a bed.

That brings us to the present. With a degree under her belt and a husband gainfully employed, Natalie is enjoying motherhood. She has two very active, lively boys and a little one on the way.

Natalie is bright, funny and kind. She is the Shane family cheerleader. She always looks on the bright side and only wants the best for everyone. She is someone you can always count on. Those are traits & characteristics that make her ours.

I love you Natalie !
