60th look back

i found a few pix this week i thought i would share, in honor of dad's sixtieth birthday!
although he was a hefty 8 lbs. 15 1/2 ounces at birth, he was a rather skinny baby. not like "our " babies~has anyone reviewed the numbers on baby bryn's 4 month check up!?! wow!!!

cute little buddy going off to kindergarten.

junior high days. he was proud of his Pendleton (shirt/jacket). check out the chain. :)

handsome as a graduating senior, 1970. he was voted "cutest smile"!  :)

he had a passion for cacti & succulents. he had a collection and worked side by side with prof. moore at the byu greenhouse.

this pic was actually taken in rawlins, wyoming. he was doing a strip coal mine vegetation reclamation study for the bureau of land management.
he would have fit in perfectly back in the days of the wild west.

as a young father in arizona.

this was his favorite corner to read in in our apartment in tempe. he was working on his doctorate at ASU.

his first job after graduation at Exxon in Houston, Tx.
~1981

in alaska hiking 27 miles up to johnson lake to do some float tube fishing.

with dan bradford in hong kong.

with bill cosby here in weston.

today! this is why we cycle! thirty pounds lighter, more fit, more healthy physically & mentally.

Happy 60th!!!
